There are two reasons it pays to be forthright when asking the girl you want to pick-up for her number or for a date. The first is that women want, whether they know it or not, to be a with man who is spontaneous, impulsive and confident. The second is that it’s always easier for the girl to agree to what you’re suggesting if you MAKE it easy for her to do so.

So, instead of saying:

“Can I have your number?“

you should say (in a friendly way and while smiling):

“I know. Put your number into my cell phone…“

or

“Is there a number a should call you at?“

And if you want to arrange a date, it’s better to say:

“Let’s get a bite to eat soon. What day is good for you?“

than

“Shall we go for something to eat soon?“

The basic formula you need to remember is: confidently suggest what it is you want to do or get and then ask a quick, easy to answer question straight after, almost like it’s a foregone conclusion that what you’ve suggested will be okay and almost expected to happen or take place.

Sales people call this “assuming the sale” and it’s a proven psychological persuader that works great… Especially on women. :)
